DEONACH (Tallaght Probation Project) founded in **Apply on the

Tallaght Village. Working with people at risk of (re-)offending by
focussing on training, education and/or employment. While respecting
innate abilities and life experience, the Project supports
participants in addressing and reducing the frequency and gravity of
their offending behaviour, and transitioning towards safe, successful
lives in their communities. As is a company with charitable status,
Deonach is supported and funded by The Probation Service, with
additional support from DDLETB (Dublin Dun Laoghaire Education and
Training Board). Having established a reputation for delivering
innovative and creative processes, we are now looking for persons of
leadership, vision and drive to join _The Link_, our Young People?s
Probation Service. _The Link_ aims to provide a comprehensive
programme of formal and informal education, arts and cultural
engagement, sports and recreational activities ? all of which are
designed to meet the individual needs of young people at risk.
THE PROJECT INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:
TEAM LEADER AT THE LINK YOUNG PEOPLE?S PROBATION PROJECT _(FULL-TIME

MATHS TUTOR TO QQI LEVELS 3, 4 & 5 _(PART-TIME; **APPLY ON THE

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A REAL COMMITMENT TO THE ETHOS AND
VALUES OF THE PROJECT, AND FIT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING THREE PROFILE
REQUIREMENTS:
* An *NSETS-recognised, professionally endorsed qualification in
_Youth Work_ or _Youth and Community Work_ is essential PLUS 5
years? experience of working with young people at risk in a youth
setting in a paid capacity.
OR
* Have worked with young people for five years? full time and have
experience of working with young people at risk in a youth work
setting in a paid capacity, AND have an equivalent professional Degree
level qualification in the field of_ Education/Social Sciences/Youth
Work _or_ Community Work._
* In addition to the above, the candidate will need to demonstrate a
strong knowledge and understanding of youth justice and offending
behaviour, have a proven track record of relevant experience in
delivering creative and innovative programmes in formal and non-formal
educational and developmental contexts, and possess a range of
practical skills and attributes suited to the particular needs and
challenges of THE LINK YOUTH SERVICE (Tallaght Probation Project) as
it currently operates.
